Student Leadership Council
What is Student Leadership Council?
- A group of students that are interested in providing their time and input on school decisions, assisting with the building of school culture through the organizing of fun events for the rest of the school body and staff, and helping the community through service.
- A representative on Student Leadership Council must be 5th -8th grade student who expresses their interest through a written form including parent permission and teacher recommendations or is nominated by the student body and has recommendations from the staff.
- An officer of the Scholar Leadership Council is an elected representative to fill a specific leadership role on our council. We will hold officer elections, after we establish our council of representatives.
- Officer positions are: President, Vice-president, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations Officer
- Members of the SLC will report information to younger students on Fridays during morning announcements each week, as needed.
Qualifications
- Being a good citizen.
- Being motivated and getting academic work completed.
- Being a good listener and respectful to students and staff.
- Being a leader.
Duties
- Attend all Student Leadership Council Meetings.
- Listen courteously to others and state your own opinions during discussions.
- Bring and discuss ideas that will help make our school an even better place to learn and have fun.
- Communicate with classmates by reporting Student Leadership Council decisions and by asking classmates for their ideas during Community Circle.
